One problem when i go to add sensors there is no ANT+ showing up just bluetooth 0 Permalink Laurence Wattrus February 27, 2018 20:11 Rlagden, what sensor do you have? Please make sure batteries are fresh and you have woken up all the sensors. ANT+ sensors typically have a very short cycle time from idle to sleep in order to conserve battery. Note that you can disable and re-enable the ANT+ or Bluetooth radios at the top of the sensors app. Doug, we know the timing for trainers is now and I am equally trapped indoors on my trainer with Zwift, Trainer Road, Sufferfest and Xert (Trying them all out). We have a bit of a backlog on the core features before we can pick up trainer control. That does not mean we are simply writing it off. Customers may speak louder than our software roadmap. As of now we are hoping to get to this before the next winter trainer season or earlier. 0 Permalink Paul Smith February 27, 2018 21:10 Edited Also don’t have ant+ option only BT 0 Permalink Laurence Wattrus February 27, 2018 22:17 Paul, that is particularly odd. Does the sensor app not look like this? I am assuming you have run an update and done a reset? Otherwise there is a software or hardware issue on your unit. 0 Permalink Ian Smalley February 28, 2018 15:16 I only had Bluetooth showing until I did the update. 0 Permalink Paul Smith March 02, 2018 08:29 Software update and all OK - ships with BT only 0 Permalink Glen Stowers March 21, 2018 01:26 Got my Karoo today! Love it! Like Margaret, though, my Karoo BT doesn't find my Fitbit Blaze. I'm using its wrist-based HR monitor and would love to transmit that to the Karoo. 0 Permalink Margaret Priddy March 21, 2018 07:26 Glen Stowers unfortunately I have never received a response and am still unable to connect to my Fitbit or my phone. 0 Permalink Doug Ahrens March 21, 2018 20:31 Not that I'd rule it out....I'd love to connect my FitBit as well. Hate using a chest strap. But I checked and cannot find my FitBit via BlueTooth without the fitbit app. I'd put Karoo Connectivity on my wish list thought. 0 Permalink Tony Costain March 21, 2018 20:46 I agree love my Karoo, would love the option to also connect to my Fitbit Ionic. It runs off Bluetooth so not sure why the Karoo doesn't pick it up. 0 Permalink Tony Costain March 21, 2018 20:47 I agree love my Karoo, would love the option to also connect to my Fitbit Ionic. I've done all software updates and Karoo doesn't pick up either one and my phone doesn't pick up the Karoo either. How does one get an answer from the folks at Karoo? I thought they are listening to users all the time based on their site hype but seeing that this isn't really true. If I can't see anything on my smartphone, this is pretty useless since my Garmin actually worked perfectly in that regard. 0 Permalink Margaret Priddy March 26, 2018 05:03 Still no answer on how to connect to the Fitbit or smartphone. FitBit unfortunately made a business decision to restrict the connection of their devices to only their apps and did not implement the standard bluetooth profile The Fitbit watches are not able to pair to external Heart Rate straps or show up as a standard Bluetooth Hear Rate device and hence we cannot support them unless they change how they broadcast their data. We do hope to integrate with other devices and will continue to work with the industry as best we can to integrate as many partners as possible, however we cannot, just yet, install FitBit's unique implementations. 0 Permalink Joe Lubeck April 14, 2018 21:21 How about Garmin Di2 connectivity. Just noticed it is not detected in available sensors 0 Permalink Kurt Spaugh April 24, 2018 18:47 Um, DI2 is Shimano, not Garmin. The data that may display on your Garmin computer is only available with the optional Shimano D-FLY module. Garmin is only a reader of that data. It's ANT+. 0 Permalink Joe Lubeck April 25, 2018 12:19 Sorry, I meant Shimano Di2, I have the D-Fly module which is detected on my Garmin. Apparently Karoo is not tooled for it. 0 Permalink Lance Mitchell May 04, 2018 01:42 The "Garmin Temperature Sensor for The Fenix Outdoor Watch" watch is an ANT+ compatible device (https://www.mec.ca/en/product/5036-550/Tempe-Temperature-Sensor), but when I search for it in my Karoo, it does not list it as found?? 0 Permalink Please sign in to leave a comment.
