    If the phone is operational, it's much easier to go to the settings menu and do a factory reset from there!

    Step 2 won't even work for me. It just won't turn on and I'm 100% sure it's charged/plugged in for awhile... did my Karoo fried itself/short circuited?!

    I don't see a "recovery UI" when I follow step 5. It would be helpful to have an image in your post that shows what a user is supposed to see in each step. See attached image where the alert "no command" suggest some other error.

     

    Also, is a factory reset, performed as described here, the same as the "factory data reset" menu options under settings?

    Ecxactly the same as with Michael. "No command" screen appears after step 4. And unit is stil rebooting after latest 1.5.19.3 sw update.

    O mesmo aconteceu-me, que ao Michael Fedder, "no command" depois do passo 4. Não consigo fazer factory reset! O que posso fazer para resolver a situação do " waiting for gps"?

    I get the same issue as Michael.

    I currently have no grade or ascent/descent values and want to factory reset.

    followed the instructions. created a route on the device itself, waited well more than a few minutes for it to create turn by turn for a very simple 2 mile ride. wont complete it.

    Raveen,  I have tried the re-set several times but the boot loader does not appear, it just goes straight to the opening screen with the normal menu.  

    Despite the latest firmware and having completed a factory re-set from the menu on start up, my unit will not display TbT instructions.  I can only get the TbT to work if I discard the ride, turn off auto-pause and re-start the route.

    I have sent you a debug report from the device - or at least I think I have as there is no confirmation from the device once pressing the 'report' button.

    Hi Raveen,

     

    That worked for me!  Now I hope that the gradient and ascent fields work.(They haven't worked in over a week)

    I tried to do the rest and my Karoo is stuck on option 2 fast boot non of the physical buttons is responding, how do I recover my karoo
