The Turn-By-Turn Banner can be customized to be "Always-On", "On Cue", or "Off". The default option will be "Always-On".
Here are the steps to change the TBT Banner settings on your Karoo:
- On the Home screen, click on the "Settings" app.
- Scroll down and select "Turn By Turn Directions".
- Here, you will see the three options "Always-On", "On Cue", and "Off".
On Cue:
When the TBT settings are set to "On Cue", the popups for on/off route as well as actions to take will be triggered at 150m before the turn/direction.
The ride window takes the full height throughout for "On-Cue" TBT settings.
You can see a full cuesheet for your entire route, from any screen in-ride.
Simply swipe up on any navigation cue to see all the remaining maneuvers till your destination.
Always On:
When TBT settings are set to "Always On", the ride window is compressed vertically to accommodate TBT instructions at the bottom.
You can see the road name for the upcoming turn at any point, not just as you approach it. Simply tap the Distance To Next Turn box at the bottom of the screen.
When within 3 km or the equivalent distance in miles of a turn/direction, a box appears around the instruction to call attention to the impending need for action.
The color of the box is determined by On-Route or Off-Route(TBT Missing).
If you are off-route in either "Always-On" or "On Cue",
you will see a red navigation banner redirecting you onto the route.
Note: The "On Cue" TBT Popup Alert is dismissible,
but the Always-On TBT Instruction is not dismissible.
The Turn-By-Turn Banner can be set to mute when on known roads and unmuted anytime during the ride when TBT is set to "Always-On".
Here are the steps to mute or un-mute the banner in-ride:
- Tap on the Persistent TBT box
- Swipe up to view the full cue-sheet and the toggle button
- Toggle the Bell icon left to mute the banner and right to unmute the TBT Banner.
