Ideally, we recommend going through the onboarding process right out of the box.
In case you do not have access to a WiFi network when turning on your Karoo 2 for the first time, you have an option to skip the onboarding process. Scroll to the end of this article for the steps to skip.
Here is a step-by-step breakdown of the Karoo 2 Onboarding process:
Tap → on the Welcome screen
Connect to a Wi-Fi network and tap the ✓ icon.
Karoo 2 will ask you to update to the latest version on this screen.
Once downloaded, the unit will update.
You will come back to this screen upon rebooting. Tap the ✓ icon.
Sign in to your Hammerhead account and tap the ✓ icon.

You can connect your Strava Account to your Hammerhead Dashboard.
Tap the ✓ icon.
Pick a card to know about Sensors, Phone pairing, and In-ride Profiles.
Scan the QR code on your Smartphone to see the Karoo 2 Quick Start Guide.
Tap the ✓ icon to go to the Home Screen.
Steps to skip the Karoo 2 Onboarding process:
- Tap on "ⓘ HELP".
- You will see a notification with the support url.
- Press and hold the Pop up window.
- Select "Skip Onboarding".
- You will be taken directly to the Home Screen.
