The Control Center gives you access to the toggles and features you need most, from notifications, system, and display settings to ride-specific actions (when in-ride) such as routing back to where you started.
If you have a Karoo 2, it could be easier for you to go through the live walkthrough on the unit. Go to Settings, scroll to the end and select “Learn More” and then “Control Center.” You will be guided through a step-by-step demonstration.
It has 5 main pages. Notifications, System, Display, Ride, & Devices.
The Notifications page is only present if there are System Notifications to be shown.
Notifications page will not be displayed in-ride. Learn more
The Cellular button only shows up when a SIM Card is installed.
By default, it will open to the Ride Page when the Control center is accessed mid-ride.
How to Open/Close the Control Center:
Swipe down from the top of the screen to open. Swipe up to close.
You can also press the top left and right Physical Buttons together to open/close.
Control Center will also close automatically if left alone for 20 seconds, or in the following scenarios: turning off the screen, opening sensors or settings, or using any other function while riding except changing screen brightness or toggling Wi-Fi.
How to change pages within the Control Center:
You can swipe the screen or use the Physical Buttons to move between Pages. Note that you can only use the Physical Buttons to change pages when the Page Indicator is visible at the top of the screen and the bottom-right button indicator says “Enter.”
ANT+ Smart Lights, Varia Radar, and Bluetooth Audio devices
will have their own page when connected.
How to use any of the controls within the Control Center:
Using the touchscreen is the most direct way, but you can use the Physical Buttons to fully navigate and interact within the menu too. Note that you can only use the Physical Buttons to select a control if the bottom-right button says “Select.” If it says “Enter,” you must first enter the proper page of the Control Center. In this mode, the upper physical buttons will always change which function you are ready to control, and the bottom-right button will always be how you interact with that function.
