RidewithGPS Premium
My family is asking me for Christmas present ideas for myself. I'm wondering if getting the ride with GPS paid account is worth it. I like doing my planning in this system and then I export out to RidewithGPS for sharing. The fact that I cannot share with people who don't have a Karoo account is a real pain. But my groups do keep all the rides in RidewithGPS, so it's not such a big issue for me.
My question is: would having the paid version of RidewithGPS be worth it for me?

I have been using the Ride with GPS premium account for almost 3 years now, and I love it! The advanced route building tools are something that I use almost everyday. I also like the RWGPS bike maintenance log for keeping track of all the maintenance items on my bikes. For me, the Ride with GPS premium account is well worth the cost.

Thank you. What are your favorite building tools that I assume are not found in Karoo? I understand that off road mapping is far better but I don't do that. I use mapping tools for group rides I lead in NYC. I thought the POIs would be useful, but that has not turned out to be that useful for me. And Karoo is getting better with POIs.
I like the idea of the maintenance logs. I didn't know about this feature and I certainly see my bike shop a lot. -
I use all of the route building and route modifying tools described in this article. https://ridewithgps.com/help/advanced-planning-and-editing
When building a route, I also often switch between 'Bicycling', 'Walking' and 'Driving' modes to get the route to go where I desire.

That is one of the advantages I saw too. But I just found out the Karoo has a new tool to create a path anywhere one wants. I'm going to give it a try. I have a path that Karoo doesn't route over because the path is still marked as a walking path. That's how I just learned of the new tool.
I think I'll ask for the RidewithGPS subscription to give it a try. Thanks for your advice!
