Not applicable to me as I haven't updated since removal so still have it, but if I had updated (or had just bought a K2) unless Shimano quit throwing out their toys I wouldn't be holding my breath. Shimano don't relent and have a history of not giving a stuff, their hollowtech failures being prime example.

I’ve not updated since then either and if I had to update , I would sell the k2 and move to another platform. I utilize the button/ page turning capabilities and the di2 battery % display.
I certainly wouldn’t consider buying a karoo2 if I planned on using Shimano di2   I find this a deal breaker and can’t believe either Shimanos or hammerheads refusal to fix this issue. Maybe both companies owe some of their consumers a refund on their limited products. I won’t hold my breathe!

Put me down as still with the final Di2-integrated K2 firmware release too.

We would love to restore Di2 functionality to the Karoo computer, but we are unable to do this unless Shimano restores our access to their Di2 protocol.

@Ali are you actively working on that? Or are we just hoping that Shimano will let you have it back

I'm sure it’s not this simple, but why can’t Hammerhead employ some or one of the work-arounds. Others have.
This  is a glaring omission in the world of high end bike computers !!

I just used the dcrainmaker work around... works perfectly https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2022/12/hammerhead-karoo-2-shimano-di2-workaround.html

So what happens when Shimano decides to shut down the workarounds?  In addition, not all of us are comfortable changing code or have the expertise needed for the side load. Will those who don’t want to lose di2 functionality and not apply new updates,  either native or side loaded , also lose technical support from hammerhead?
We shouldn’t have to go to workarounds in order to provide the functions that were promised when we purchased these expensive head units. It’s hammerheads/ SRAMs obligation and place to negotiate on their customers behalf to reinstall this function…either that or it’s time for hammerhead to offer refunds so those of us who use the di2 functions so we can transfer to a more suitable platform.

William, It's really a licensing problem, not technical. Of course HH wants to have Di2 support and has the technical know-how to do it, it is really Shimano that is preventing that from happening. It would be great if they came to their senses, but there's not much HH can do.

And just as we use the Garmin Varia, wouldn't it be possible to add the Garmin remote? We need some way to pass screens on MTB, Gravel, etc... without having to release our hands from the handlebars.
