(features request) Audio alert for eating and drinking

Hello, Is it possible to foresee in future updates the possibility of setting up customizable alerts, for example reminders to eat and drink? Thanks Pierre

    @Pierre: We totally agree that the ability to set audio alerts as reminders to eat and drink would be a valuable feature to add. This is not in our immediate plans but we hope to see this somewhere down the line considering the pace with which Karoo 2 software is evolving.

    Hello,

    I just got a Karoo 2 and love most everything about it, but I miss my Garmin's easy to program timers for eating and drinking.  I've got a bunch of long gravel races coming and I need either a timer or a recommendation for a side-loadable app that would work.  Can you help me out?

    This is definitely something I also relied on with me Garmin. Lets hope this hits the new feature replace soon.

    I also urge the addition of a program timer for drinking - I find it's the best way to ensure I'll keep hydrated.

    Climber feature on ad-hoc rides was one of two features I was wishing for.

    An alerts/reminder feature is the other one.

    Totally agree, this is helpful on long rides or in races. The Elemnt Roam has/Bolt this feature.

    Already gave this example on other post...

    Somehow, if we don´t use auto-lap function as auto-lap indeed, we can set auto-lap with a distance similar to the timing we want to be reminded to eat or drink. So, when we see our K2 beeping a new lap, we know that is our reminder time to eat or drink.


    Let us define auto-lap each 30kms...if we have an AVG speed of 30km/h, we know when K2 alerts a new lap that is time to eat a snack.

    I just got my karoo 2 and am insanely disappointed there isn't a feature like this, since all the other bike computers have it. It's outrageous that people have been asking for it for two years and it still hasn't been implemented. Hope to see it soon.

    K2 (K3) needs an improved (full range) speaker to facilitate all these alerts, it's all blips and beeps and most are too quiet and distorted to distinguish one alert from another.

    I was also looking for this feature.  Really surprised it is not there.  The Karoo has so many great features but I am beginning to think it might not be good enough for long endurance rides, where feeding and nutrition reminders are key. Another key feature Garmin have is the "find" feature.  Like, find bike shop or find cafe.  However, the drink/feed feature surely is a given requirement.   I am just wondering if Hammerhead are listening as they do not seem to have replied to this long thread.

    Hi. One thing I'll add is please add the eat reminder and have an option to set it to "calories spent", which is an easy formula from power / duration, as calories and kilojoules are closely related. Again, what goes on in those priority meetings? "Let's draw squares around fields" - "Sounds good! Let's make that priority one!"

    "Riders asking for features that our competitors have, like eat reminders" - nah, make them wait, we don't care about people who have already bought our unit, and our market share isn't going to come from serious riders, we'll just market to a bunch of newbs, who don't need this, let's just keep adding plumage without substance." Amirite?

    Eat/ Drink reminder like in Garmin is really needed, please implement it!

    How hard is it to create an eat/drink timer ?
    Bitterly disappointed I've only just found out after ordering the new K3 that there is no reminder.
    What's more disappointing is the number of post requesting this being ignored for the last 3 years.
