Changing the button sequence of the "end ride" was a good move: it is best to have to push several different buttons or slide something to end a ride. I think this is an improvement which will prevent accidental end rides. (I really did liked the silde to end feature)

I strongly dislike that you swapped the "lap button" and the "pause button"

The B-button, is partially obstructed by the mount, which makes it better suited to being the pause button. the D button is not obstructed, which makes it easier to push when doing laps or intervals when you're gassed.

I suspect that many peope will have mixed opinions on this: some will love it, others will hate it.

Solution

A device option to reverse the B and D buttons. This could take the form of a toggle switch. That way people can set the buttons in accordance with their preference.

  I completely agree with Steve's comments regarding the change in position for the lap button.  If we could have a choice that would be great.  It was cold and wet on today's ride and pressing the lap button with frozen hands was more difficult on the left vs the right side.

  I like the lap button on the left. I rarely use it and was often hitting by mistake when it was on the right side. On the other hand, the map zoom button was on the right and is now on the left. I find it easier to use on the right. Like Steve said, mixed opinions.

  If you were hitting the lap button by accident, does that mean you're now hitting the "pause ride" button by accident?

  I definately know i'd rather hit the lap button by accident than the pause button by accident.

  To each there own, as the saying goes. I just don't like hitting that lap button and seeing the red banner pop up unintentionally.

  @Karoo,

  I don't think there has been a satisfactory answer as to why the buttons were changed, and why you can't add a toggle switch to flip the buttons back to their original designations.

  I've provided a simple solution that is easy to implement, and will satisfy everone.
