Strava Sync: Cannot upload this FIT file (error: Other error)
AnsweredEver since updating the Hammerhead Karoo 2 to build 1.200.1016.12 I have been unable to sync my rides to Strava. I have tried disconnecting Strava and signing out of Hammerhead, resigning in, and reconnecting Strava to no avail. I noticed similar posts regarding Strava sync issues, however they seem to be closed out and the issue started occurring after updating. Please advise.

Same problem after the latest software update. Prior to the software "upgrade" the syncing feature was working reliably. On the head unit I've notice the following error "HX DataSync Service, Ride Upload Strava client error". When the ride is save I'm at home with a strong WiFi connection.

Same problem for me over the last couple of weeks. I get it to upload to Strava about 50% of the time, then get a "client error" the rest. Annoying. There are lots of posts in this community, and each time the response is "not a problem with Hammerhead's servers." They don't seem to recognize the issue.
FYI The least annoying workaround I've found is to just try uploading again later. But you don't have to go turn on the Karoo, just go to the Hammerhead dashboard and sync the ride to Strava from there. Sometimes you'll get the same error, but at least you don't have to go turn on the Karoo.

Hello all!
Thanks for the feedback! We are aware of this issue that has popped up a few times over the last weeks. The "Strava Client Error" message is a message for any failed uploads. We have been in contact with Strava to see if there are adjustments that can be made to alleviate this problem and hope to avoid further issues for our community! Thanks for your patience!

Every day this past week has been a problem. Rwgps syncs as it should, but Strava does not. My Garmin syncs to Strava just fine. As a new Karoo2 owner, I continue to appreciate my Wahoo Bolt more and more. I didn't realize u was paying $400 to be a beta user.
Is there a timeline for a fix on this issue?

Hey everyone,
Try going into your Hammerhead Dashboard and check your Units under Settings. After the most recent Karoo update, I noticed my units switched from Imperial to Metric. I just checked the Settings in my Dashboard and noticed the same thing had happened and that the Units were set to Metric. When I made the switch to Imperial under my settings, it seemed to fix the sync with Strava. I had to do the same thing for my Karoo device. I'm curious to know if this fix works for others.
Cheers!
