Every day this past week has been a problem. Rwgps syncs as it should, but Strava does not. My Garmin syncs to Strava just fine.  As a new Karoo2 owner, I continue to appreciate my Wahoo Bolt more and more. I didn't realize u was paying $400 to be a beta user.

Is there a timeline for a fix on this issue?

"a few times over the last weeks"

The problem has persisted for months!  There "a few times" when it actually works.  Have yet to hear any explanation of what the problem is, or any potential real fix.

Do you know what I love? Spending $400 on a device and then not being able to upload my workouts to Strava. Great job Hammerhead. You guys really know how to endear yourselves to your paying customers. Seriously though, WTF?

Same problem after the latest software update. Prior to the software "upgrade" the syncing feature was working reliably. On the head unit I've notice the following error "HX DataSync Service, Ride Upload Strava client error". When the ride is save I'm at home with a strong WiFi connection.

Yes, I'm experiencing the same problem. I'm forced to manually download the FIT file after my ride and upload the FIT file to Strava. This problem only seemed to manifest itself after the latest software update.

Yesterday I had problem uploading to RWGPS which was strange. Uploads to Strava and Komoot went just fine, but RWGPS gave me the error. I tried 10 minutes later from the Dashboard with success.

Same problem for me over the last couple of weeks. I get it to upload to Strava about 50% of the time, then get a "client error" the rest. Annoying. There are lots of posts in this community, and each time the response is "not a problem with Hammerhead's servers." They don't seem to recognize the issue.

FYI The least annoying workaround I've found is to just try uploading again later. But you don't have to go turn on the Karoo, just go to the Hammerhead dashboard and sync the ride to Strava from there. Sometimes you'll get the same error, but at least you don't have to go turn on the Karoo.

Upload error message happening to me now too. Must be the heavy activity on the weekend. Looking forward to when Hammerhead finally gets this worked out with Strava.

That’s great for those of you who work with imperial however not for the majority of the world who work with the metric system!

Derbyshire Pantani, I’m the only person from my group ride yesterday that uses Hammerhead, whereas everyone else uses either Wahoo or Garmin. There was only one person who had a problem uploading their workout from a device to Strava. Guess who? #hammerheadfail

Derbyshire Pantani - luckily i also wear a Garmin 945 and it synced just fine, in close to real-time - a couple of minutes maybe.  this was the case almost all of last week, every day.

    Hello all!

Thanks for the feedback! We are aware of this issue that has popped up a few times over the last weeks. The "Strava Client Error" message is a message for any failed uploads. We have been in contact with Strava to see if there are adjustments that can be made to alleviate this problem and hope to avoid further issues for our community! Thanks for your patience!

    Hey everyone,

Try going into your Hammerhead Dashboard and check your Units under Settings. After the most recent Karoo update, I noticed my units switched from Imperial to Metric. I just checked the Settings in my Dashboard and noticed the same thing had happened and that the Units were set to Metric. When I made the switch to Imperial under my settings, it seemed to fix the sync with Strava. I had to do the same thing for my Karoo device. I'm curious to know if this fix works for others.

    Cheers!
