I have had my Karoo 2 for a couple of months now. Been trying every possible method to upload via Bluetooth to my iphone  and failed. I thought it was me being stupid.  My Wahoo always did it seamlessly and that was a very nice feature. My friends Garmin's do it seamlessly. I assumed that Karoo 2 would have a similar feature. Disappointed to now find out that I need a mobile phone with a hot spot to make that happen or wait until I get home. My phone does not have a hot spot. This is a deal breaker. "Did your ride happen yet (Strava)?" has to wait until I get home. The Karoo 2 on-bike experience is great. I sure wish this could be fixed.

I agree... this should be a no-brainer and hoping it can be added. My 3 year old Wahoo Element used to upload seamlessly as soon as I got home and detected WiFi, and it honestly is very annoying to have to wait, connect and manually upload or have to go to dashboard and upload to Stava. Hope you can fix this.

I concur. Hopefully this will be an added feature in the following updates. I really like the on bike experience and like to have my rides updates seamlessly through my phone without hotspot

Hello, i was wondering if this is something that is in the works. When i do not finish my rides at home it is annoying that ride does not upload and you have to wait till you get home, turn on your Karoo again when there is WIFI available. Not even having your phone connected works, which is something every other computer does.

    Thanks

I have updated from Garmin Edge 520 and having rides post online after ride over Bluetooth would have been nice. Almost a deal breaker. It seems like a small request, but I see multiple requests on this post. Please update Karoo 2 to have ability to update through bluetooth connection.

I just found out about this issue after a couple of rides.

So far, I love everything about the Karoo 2 except this.

Hammerhead, you need to fix this. It's a regression from my low-end Garmin 520!

I hope this issue is sorted as it is very frustrating to be out in the wilds and not be able to upload rides.
Everything else is great and I love it which makes this oversight all the worse.

    Hey Bart,

The Karoo would require an internet connection in order to upload activities to strava or any third-party application. You can connect your Karoo to your phone's hotspot for this as well. You would not be able to upload the activities via the Bluetooth connection.

I have had several garmin and they seldom uploaded the rides in a timely manner or not at all till i used it next time. sometimes they would not connect to the  phone or they would take 5 minutes to upload. so at least when the Karoo is in range of your wifi it does well uploading your ride.

I do believe there is (as of now) now way around inserting a SIM card or connecting to your (i)Phone hotspot via WiFi. I also do think it would be great to leverage the anyway established connection to receive push notifications!
