Help, Karoo2 freezing pre or during ride for no reason
Hi there, My Karoo2 is failing to work properly: it started a few days ago when, mid ride, the screen froze and I wasn't able to do anything to get it back to normal. I had to reboot 3 times before I got it to work properly but it froze again 4 times when in ride. It happened again today.
no ride recorded, had to reboot 4 times mid ride, it started working again but in the gradient field I got "no sensor" in red and everything was very unresponsive.
Performed a "factory reset" and tried to get it back. It got stuck twice during the configuration.
Now apparently retrieved all the data (Profiles, bikes and settings) but it still gets frozen randomly.
Needless to say that my Karoo is an essential tool for my rides and not being able to use it, or relying on it is very annoying.

If you haven't opened a support ticket already you might want to try a hard reset:

It might be something hardware. Quite frankly it started a few weeks back when the Karoo was messing with the gradient. I thought it was the new update and that they would fix it. But that didn’t happen because it wasn’t probably related to the software. Let’s wait and see. Thanks for you help anyway -
My pleasure Simone, I hope Ali and the team can sort it for you right away. I'm very much stuck in the past because of the forced abandonment of Shimano Di2 support in May 2022. I have two Di2 equipped bikes and so far the firmware updates that have been released since don't look worthwhile enough for me to jump ahead and go with the 3rd-party electronic shifting side-loaded apk so I tolerate the known faults of the day and will take a very long, hard look at any Karoo2 successor before I consider a hardware change under the SRAM/Hammerhead banner.
