    Hi

Have you try Navigate to have in defferent location?

I had this issue one time but usually it works perfect.

I tried to navigate to two different places, both intimately showed ‘preparing routing’. Only when I created a Komoot route to a certain place, it navigated. Will try again soon

It's strange. I used navigate to home 2 days ago and it worked.
Maybe it depends of the distance.

Maybe if distance is long it needs more time to count.

In at least 2 of the instances it was approximately 20-25 KM's and after 5 minutes of calculating I cancelled the action. Am I too impatient?

For sure 5 minutes is too long.

Last time I was 5km from home and Karoo calculated it in the moment.

But I have similar problem for Navigate to start when distance was about 30km.

Today i tried one more time from two different location and navigation to home worked perfect. Created way back home in an instant.

Have you tried to change your home address to different one just for test?

I haven’t changed my home address, but was 10k from home today and the Karoo created a route to my home in an instant.
So problem is solved, but I don’t know how :)

This is a recurring intermittent problem. I had a friend who had this on a Komoot ride he had already done once ok. It just would not calculate the ride. Once it gets into this loop (e.g. your 5 mins), you’re screwed, that’s it, for some reason it won’t get over it.

if it happens again you should create a Service Request rather than a Forum Post.

Thanks MikeF for the feedback. A bit puzzled why I would want to create a support ticket? Is there a hardware issue that only they can solve?

HH cannot solve any HW issues as it would mean a recall and that they obviously will not do. However I think this is an occasional SW issue as it only occurs intermittently, that they should look at and try to solve. As we have both stated, this is not a one-off occurrence. If you search for “Preparing”, you will find an issue with extremely long rides causing this problem. That they state to have fixed. Yours was a short ride, so they need to know that there is an occasional problem there as well.
If the problem occurs again, and you could actually “Save” the ride, it would help them diagnose the problem and possibly fix it.

As a general point, there are far too many Posts that are actually valid K2 issues or K2 development requests, and whilst HH do monitor the forum, they do not need to do anything, it’s a user forum, not a Support Site. I have found that if I create a Service Request, they always come back very quickly, either with a solution or a “sent to development for review” statement.
