Strava upload error: Already uploaded (but it wasn't)

On my K2 I have an issue when completing a ride where there is no WiFi. It tries to upload, but is unable to without WiFi. When I finally get home to WiFi, and I select the ride and try to upload to Strava again (either on the device itself or in the HH dashboard), it shows as if the ride was already uploaded (Strava has a checkmark). When I try to "re-upload" the ride to Strava, I get the error "Already uploaded" and it will not upload the ride to Strava.

How do I get around this problem to have the ride successfully "re-"uploaded to Strava?
