Overall, yes. The Garmin is not without issues but once you get the profiles and screens setup, it works great. The screen is not as nice as the K2 and the navigation takes some getting used to, but I never have to worry about battery or elevation being wrong. Many people are happy with the K2 battery but the compromises to make it last seem ridiculous…turn brightness really low, don’t use graphical data fields, don’t change screens, etc. I really wanted the K2 to work for me. The last straw was on the Strade Bianche Gran Fondo last year. I had the K2 on power save for the first half of the ride. When it was on I was getting gradient readings of 35% on climbs…lol. I finished the ride with 8% battery which was too close for comfort. I eventually got a replacement unit but by the time it was processed through support correspondence, I had moved on.

I will consider a K3 if the issues get fixed but I won’t be an early adopter.

Nothing that I think should have been done to improve the k2 was not done, basic things like having warnings for hydration and nutrition, navigate to a city or street directly from device......it's been a disappointment.

I wish they would solve the elevation issue. Need some smoothing to be applied for rough roads causing elevation spikes. Temperature calibration would be nice also.

I used several GPS brands, all have issues, but the brands try to upgrading and resolve this ones, unfortunately HH is focus in Lite bugs, and Keep o market a unity that don't make the job, is like buy a smartphone but can't make calls. Its time to HH send a note to all community say that this K2 have a lot od issues and they can't be resolve. Every time that exist a new firmware i switch on my unity and upgrade, but every time is worse. Today i have saveral non positive on my garmin varia radar, and never add one. One more time It was placed in the drawer.

I think that this will be on the same way that "Nokia". One thing I know, I won't waste my money again on a gadget that claims to be a GPS when it doesn't perform the functions it is supposed to do and that they indicate. It's time to ask HH if they'll give me my money back two years later. Because they sell a product that simply doesn't work.

It sounds like there's growing frustration with the lack of meaningful software updates and the feeling that user feedback is being ignored. Given the situation, it seems likely that one of three things might be happening: an upcoming OS update might require significant code changes, the development team might be focusing on a new Karoo 3 device, or the current Karoo could be gradually being phased out.

The recent software updates have indeed been minimal, and many community concerns remain unaddressed. It could indicate a focus shift to either an upcoming OS update or Karoo 3 development. Alternatively, Karoo may be gradually phasing out support for the current model.
