Over on the unofficial forums, we've seen conflicting reports on the GSC-10, with skme saying they've had it working and others reporting that it doesn't work. See https://karoousers.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=15 for an ever-growing sensor list.

I have been there and noticed the conflicting report note. I just wanted to see if anyone had ideas on what needs to be done. I am also looking at getting a new set of sensors if this one doesn't work correctly.

    Hi there,

I can personally confirm the GSC-10 works for me. I have done several (indoor) rides with the sensor and it correctly reports speed and cadence (had a Garmin 1000 running in parallel with the Karoo)

I've no problems with my GSC-10 speed sensor. Connected and it responds.

+1 on this - have the same sensor, and screen shows cadence (and heartrate) without issue, and maps clearly show me in the right place so there is a GPS lock. Just no speed and distance on screen. Unpair the sensor, and hey presto you have speed and distance showing again, but I have lost cadence. So clearly seems something up with deciding between sensor speed and GPS speed and it ends up showing zero.....

Have raised directly with support and initially they said hard reset and sent instructions. Was away last week but had a chance today to test it and same issue. Fully updated, performed hard reset, auto brightness off, tried auto pause on and off and same issue persisted. Support now saying Raveen is looking into it.

    Thanks, Tobias

I've had exactly the same issues with the GSC 10 sensor as Tobias. Went out today and bought the newer Garmin sensors (wheel hub and crank arm). Fitted, synced and tested while on bike stand. Speed, cadence and distance now displayed on Karoo. Everything seems to be working as anticipated. Waiting for weather to break to test on ride.
I'll let you know how It goes.

I have also gone out and bought the new sensors, wheel hub and crank arm. They work great, but still no success on the GSC-10. As we have heard and seen, this is an issue but not for all. Oh well, new sensors and keep riding.

Managed to get out for a 45 mile ride using new Speed/Cadence sensors and Karoo performed faultlessly. Displayed Speed, Cadence and Distance on unit even connected to HRM all on Ant+ without any dropouts. I've had issue with Karoo not displaying data after saving a ride but uploading to Strava. This has been resolved too. Used Karoo along side my Garmin 500. Readings almost identical. Think I'll be leaving the Garmin at home from now on.
