Weird. Have you tried the SIM in another device, e.g. a phone, in case somehow your carrier has de-registered the SIM?

yes, the SIM still works... HH is taking a look at the issue (could be an incompatibility with my service provider ?).

hey just to give some additional context here, several telecom vendors ask for whitelisting a product before it can be used on their airwaves, we are on this and will have an update on this

the one that has worked out of the box without any issues for many fellow riders is FreedomPop

Ah, I'm having this same issue with a Project Fi sim, is that one that requires whitelisting as well? I'll take a look at FreedomPop.

I am experiencing the same problem. I've tried with two SIMs, both of which work in other devices.

In the event that the SIM provider requires the product to be whitelisted, would you expect the SIM icon to be greyed out?

I just installed my FP sim card and it's not working. Cellular data in Settings is greyed out. The sim card symbol in the status bar has a line through it and is greyed out. I can't make the APN changes since the Karoo doesn't seem to recognize that there is a card in there.

Do I have to use the nano->micro card adapter provided? FP sent me a 3in1 card that fit perfectly without the adapter, so that's what I used.

It is recommended to use a micro SIM - the adaptor is there in case all you have is a nano SIM.

I eventually fixed my problem by ensuring the nano SIM was sitting completely flat within the adaptor, so it seems that positioning is critical.

    Follow-up:

It's not the Karoo. I found an old SIM card and inserted it. While it didn't get any reception, it was immediately recognized. I'm contacting FreedomPop to see what they will do.
