Yesterday I had the same issue of frozen screens. To me it happened after a stop to zoom in on the map, after 1 hour of riding. The map and nav icon would not move, but I did notice that the trail of what I had cycled was updating (but soon I was riding of the map). Switching between data screens was not possible or extremely slow, screens (including map) only coming back to life after stopping and (auto)pausing the ride. Data fields were all correct, so it had indeed continued recording.

I tried to use the workaround for frozen data fields (tapping the lap button) but got a white screen and after a while the same message of 'ride not responding'. Decided not to kill it and after a few minutes got the screens back. After that I just continued the ride with frozen screens and occassionaly it would unfreeze again when stopping (but unable to navigate or read data fields while moving). After the ride I had to wait for half an hour before I could save and upload the ride.

Before 1.15.19.3 I never had this issue.

Bas, same issue with me too today.  Must be the firmware update causing the problem.

+1, exactly same happened to me yesterday. Followed a friend's 80km gravel/CX-route downloaded from Strava without any changes made on HH dashboard and synched over to Karoo. All good until this but despite having a GPS lock never got TBT but was stuck with "Waiting for GPS" message while kept following the red trail. After a while decided to turn off TBT in my page sets as I was merely using the map page for my ride. All metrics were good and updating. After some 30km's the device started to become unresponsive and sluggish so I started to hit the lap button occasionally that seemingly started some sort of self-rebooting with white screen but eventually Karoo returned back to life for a short while again. The problem was I really needed to follow the map and didn't want stop either so I missed some turns during re-boots but got back to right track. At 40km Karoo froze totally and went all black so I needed to do a hard reboot and abort the ride. So the first part of the ride was saved as "(Recovered) Morning Ride" but with good stats.

The second leg was a repeat of the first one with same symptons that started after 30+km's. I have no SIM but decided to tether Karoo with my mobile hotspot but it didn't change anything. I also noticed that the map arrow started to froze first but my trail continued its journey and I eventually rode "off the map". On other screens the speed and HR (through Ant+) were updating slowly. Once home managed to save and quit the ride fairly quickly without a reboot.

Stitched the two files together with gotoes and compared the outcome with Endomondo/Iphone stats; all in all pretty close and the diff. was about 1km within 83 km total ride and less than that in avg. speed.

On positive side the recording worked well. TBT is clearly broken or cannot handle longer routes. This far I have only tested it with shorter commutes and with previous software versions that have worked well. As a side-note a mobile hotspot almost dried the phone's battery in two hours but had Endomondo running in the backgroung for the whole 4hour ride.

    Hi All,

Today I've had exactly the same issues as described in the posts above.

Slow response, frozen screen, no data readout, no TBT.

After 16km I did a reboot and started a new ride,

I hope this can be fixed soon.
