All data fields frozen on rides longer than 5.5 hours

    Same here. Last week the display froze at 151 km, yesterday it was at 152 km.

    Last week, before the latest update, fields showing speed, ride km, cadence, power,... were frozen, except ascent and descent meter field. These kept updating nicely when riding up and down climbs.

    Yesterday, with the latest update, all fields froze up, no fields updated anymore. At arrival I followed the workaround to close the ride app and continue the ride, then hit pause and save the ride. Saving the ride kept on running until battery was flat (battery was at 24% when hitting save ride).

    I initially had the impression that this issue only occurred when following a route, but yesterday I had no route loaded.

    Hopefully this can be solved in a future update, as when everything freezes the Karoo becomes useless at that point.

    Same here. The display was frozen after 2 hours ride.

    Same problem during yesterday's ride. At 5h 34min, 153 km into my ride, alle data fields stopped working. Except for the total ascent. It (kind of) worked until the end of my ride, being updated approximately every two minutes or so.

    I am massively annoyed.

    To save my rides, I do the following:

    I. Press pause once and wait for approximately five minutes until a cyan bar at the lower edge of the screen appears.

     

    II. Press 'change page' and wait until the regular pause menu appears, then save ride.



    III. Summary shows complete ride stats.

    same here, yesterdays ride was 250km after about 150km I noticed that the respons on swiping the screen was lazy and slow. After 200km the data screen starter to freezeup. After a little break due to check point quewe the screen and response and freeze were gonna. It seems like the karoo could ‘t keep up with the data it had to proces after those time/kilometers.
    When I finished the ride, and tried to save it, the saving prompt kept on going for minutes, until I switch off the screen and on again it was luckily saved.

    Today the screen froze again, this time at 70km in ride, on A ride of 105km. Hope can do something about this.

    The support's solution is a factory reset. Haven't done this yet. With the newest firmware I was able to record a 5:20 hours long ride today.

    But I recognized a new "feature". After approximately four hours I could swipe between data pages without them "turning over". This way I could display on the left halt of the screen the map and on the right half some data fields, for example.

    The new software update might have fixed the issue for me. Did a 6+ hrs ride today without any issues. Autopause and all data fields working nicely until the end.
