Offline Map download is queued, but does not progress (neither does any solution for this problem)

    Hey Blake. Please toggle off all the routes which you have selected as offline. Now, just toggle on the routes which you need currently. This is the best workaround for now.

    Our developers have been working with Mapbox to upgrade to the latest version. This process has been going on for the past few weeks and it is in the last stages of implementation. This should come out in the Mid-August update. This has been a high priority for us and the fix is coming soon. Thanks for your patience with this.

    I just started with a clean Karoo and needed to download the offline files again.  It seemed that some of the maps got stuck, I had to keep deleting the one that wasn't downloading, then after; another one started, I added that map section back in.  The download is VERY VERY SLOW.  I made sure it was only using wifi (I have a Sim card as well).  It took about a day of checking on the unit, letting it download, checking it, etc until I got the important areas of Ohio and Michigan for me.  

    I'm hoping this is something they are still working on, but persistence paid off for me at least.

    This issue is also reported in de software changelog as ‘bug fixes in progress, but has been removed in version 1.5.111.3. I also had this issue but my Karoo has been replaced with a new one last week. I haven’t been able to setup my new one as of yet. Hope to do this next week.

    Franklin, Thanks for the official response. I appreciate it. For the record, since I factory reset my system, I did not enable any of the routes that sync'd to be available offline.

    I just want a map available.

    I downsized the map to as small an area as it would go (which is basically the cul de sac that I live on and a few surroundings streets) and it still wouldn't download. 

    I look forward to a solution for this. I strongly recommend looking at an additional solution for getting maps onto the system.

    Same problem here. I planned a route, and my Karoo has been downloading it for over 24 hours now. I'm at 8%. Want to make the ride in four days, it looks like I need to bring the classic paper map again.

    Hey Blake, Wouter, and Alessandro.  The Mapbox upgrade will certainly fix all of the current issues you are experiencing with downloading or offlining maps. We appreciate your patience for the next two weeks.

    Yesterday I have booted the new Karoo for the first time. After the update to the latest software version it downloaded 12 large (largest possible) and about 45 routes without any problems. Very happy so far

    Dear Franklin

    As written in a other "map post". The latest updated did not fix the problem for me.

    After 10 downloaded maps the "unfornutely, ride has stopped" appeared again. No more downloads till this point. The download from new maps end at 1% with the well known message.

    I had the same problem, it is an interesting error since in my case I am not even riding.   My download got to 1% and has just hung.

    Also problems here. Map section download starts over and over. Download halts midway and then restarts. Haven’t been able to download any map sections with the last update.

    I tried logging out an in again without success.

    Till now the karoo without all needed maps since a lot of month is nearly useless for me.

    When will be the next update with a working solution?

    I can`t download maps either and TBT is also not downloading, tried factory reset so lost all my previous downloaded maps and now have no maps at all. Flightmode did not work either.
