Recording stops after loading route in-ride

    Jason, you're not alone -- I had this problem 3 times since last update. Ali is aware of it.

    This issue has been addressed in the update which is scheduled to be released this Thursday.

    Well apparently it doesn't fix a problem where if you delete the route from the ride, then it similarly stops recording until you manually pause and resume again. I had this problem today, which was kind of annoying. Just as well I'm still using my Garmin to record data and not fully relying on my Karoo. And pretty sad that I can't rely on my Karoo after all this time still.

    @Steve - I know these issues can be annoying at times, but we are trying to improve with each update. This has been known issue after the release but has been fixed now and is being tested before it can be released in the next update.

    I think this same issue resulted in lost data for half of my ride yesterday!  I've submitted an issue.  Would it make sense for system to always err on the side of recording (i.e. not pausing) in cases when there is ambiguity or there may be bugs like this?  The current approach continually results in data loss - the worst possible outcome from a device that's meant to record your ride!

    Yes, annoyingly I discovered that this isn't, in fact, fixed in the current release (Ali had said, before the most recent update, "This issue has been addressed in the update which is scheduled to be released this Thursday" but this doesn't appear to be true).

    I loaded a route mid-ride yesterday and my Karoo stopped recording, which I didn't notice until a long way into the ride.

    Hi Steve - Sorry as the comment looks wrong, but there were no proper test done at the time and hence it could not be released. The release notes of the latest version does cover this up and as of now it is being tested by the ATG users.

    Happened to me also yesterday after adding a route 8 mines in.  First real problem I've had with the Karoon in 6 months.  Lost about 90 minutes of my ride and it wouldn't unpause for me without restarting the device. Also happened to ride before but I was able to get it to come out of pause.
