So, yesterday I went about my first ever long ride using Karoo as a GPS tool. The file downloaded well and I went about downloading the route for offline use.
The first 18 miles went well, until after using what I thought was a bit excessive battery usage I turned to aeroplane mode. Doing this caused my Karoo to have a bit of a meltdown. It froze! No good for anything! So I reset, loaded the route back up and off I went again all fairly happy again. No aeroplane mode.
About 50 miles in, I took a slight deviation from said route, and it went about trying to direct me back to the correct route, fine. But then when I reached said route, TBT went bang. Frozen route cue. I tried to turn cue off and on. Nothing, it had just frozen. Route was still running so I could follow the red line fine, luckily or I'd have got completely lost.
So........ As far as a riding tool, I use heart rate, speed sensor and power meter. It's an awesome tool for recording rides which I've done now since getting my Karoo in march.
As far as GPS navigation goes..... I beg to differ.
Can any of you shed any light into the units blips during my ride of 2 parts (due to the reset).
I will say generally it's been an awesome bit of kit, just very annoying when it doesn't do as it should.
Cheers, and I look forward to your help
