    I have had the same problem, but only when following a route.  Riding with no route works fine

    I am having the same problem. No route is fine, following a route a mess: on/off GPS, sometimes great navigation with ETA and DTA etc, sometimes part of the ride is gone! After almost a year of using the Karoo, it is a pretty disappointing situation.

    Hey Max. GPS issues have been identified in the current release and have been prioritised for fixes in the next update.

    Assuming that HH don't pull the release the public release of the latest patch is today.

    However the issue with dropping GPS is not fixed within this release according to the comments that I have seen in the ATG.

    Unfortunately there is no way to go back to a previous release.

    So what? I have to put up with GPS dropping issue for another month? Come on, I couldn't care less about the UX update, I just want a reliable bike computer + cycling GPS. Considering the inability of shipping major update with good quality, perhaps you should strongly consider restore to last known good update as top priority. If not, then flight new changes, introduce kill switch, whatever. Customer should not be treated as QA team or dogfooders.

    I agree, I am a customer too!!!

    Though from looking at posts in the ATG group they are hoping to be releasing a fix about this to the ATG group today.

    BTW personally I have only had problems with the GPS while riding a route.

    One tip that I have heard is to turn off automatic updates, and only install them after monitoring the forums for several days...

    Well, December update wasn't exactly great either. The offline map features crashed 100% of the time, so that's the reason why I jumped to January update immediately. But after seeing January update, I kinda wish I can go back to December update. I wonder if any testing was done at all before releasing these updates.

    @Aswin - I agree that the communication is poor as sadly is usual. But come on over to karoousers.org for a bit more news, e.g. https://karoousers.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=766

    I have followed all the steps to momentarily fix the GPS on/off problem (see https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/articles/360004548293-Waiting-for-GPS-Waiting-for-Instructions-TbT-) and it worked. Yesterday and today I followed a route and got flawlessly turn-by-turn instructions when on the route and off the route (rerouting). Three other problems puzzle me:

    (i) after 2:40min rides more than 30% of the battery was gone;

    (ii) my elevation graph looks very basic and quite different (not so colorful and nice) from the one I have seen in many pictures I have seen on the web);

    iii) in the data field of "vertical speed" (or climbing speed)  I always get a nice 0.
