I just came here to post exactly that. I assumed that when I bought some ION & Flare lights that they would just get picked up by the ANT+ search :( - Little by little I'm losing any faith in my Karoo being any kind of replacement for my Garmin 1000.

I made the exact same assumption.  I really assumed that this feature already existed, especially considering there is already sensor connectivity.  I also don't remember seeing this on the list for future enhancements.

This would be a great option

I'm up-voting the suggestion and, in case none of the rest of you have already done so, am submitting a request for this. Let's keep in mind that Garmin has been working on this stuff for years. I get a bit impatient with HH from time to time (well, maybe more than that), too, but as far as I know it is only Garmin (and only on a few models) and Bontrager (with their proprietary 'Transmitr' button) that support the Ant+ lighting control profile. There are only a few other manufacturers that even offer complaint lights (Cycliq is the only one I can think of off the top of my head, though) so its understandable that this isn't a high priority item. For those of us with those lighting systems, though, it would be really nice!

I am very new to Karoo (only a few days in), so I'm just getting to understand the innerworkings of the community.  I think the possible simplicity of this feature should give them motivation to move it up on the list of enhancements.  I say that because the same approach taken with sensors can be used in this case.  Focus on the top 2 manufacturers (Garmin & Bontrager). HH obviously has experience in Garmin connectivity, and Bontrager mentions Garmin connectivity in their instructions.  Releasing features that require the least amount of effort will lengthen the Karoo features list more quickly - like more bang for your buck.  HH should continue to work on the more taxing enhancements in a separate effort - larger updates.

Hi Quentin. We would like to introduce headlight connectivity in the future. We recognize the usefulness of this, but there are currently some higher priority features we're focusing on concerning the core Karoo experience. We do not have a specific timeline for you.

I get the feeling they just don't care at this point. They are good at the videos and marketing but not in touch with the world that is going on around them. It's kind of sad. No Di2, and this is years away from development.

Karoo's integration with Shimano Di2, SRAM eTap, Campagnolo EPS, FSA K-Force WE, and other electronic drivetrains is an exciting idea to us that will open up a wide spectrum of fascinating applications and data for users. It's on our roadmap and something we're looking forward to tackling, but at this time, we're not committing to a timeline for these, as we want to focus on the device's core features and general stability and usability first.
