Hey Kyle - I would like to get a look into some of your recent rides. Could you send the FIT file of your activity from the Dashboard?

You can send it to support@hammerhead.io.

Yes! I have just concluded 10 intense days climbing the mountains of Mallorca.
The Karoo unit, Strava and TrainingPeaks have the same measure for climbing. I drag files from dashboard.hammerhead to connect.garmin which export to Endomondo, Strava and TrainingPeaks.
The main difference between data on these sites is the elevation gain: on connect.garmin the gain is consistently significantly higher!
This is supposedly because Garmin corrects altitude data using their map data - if they register the data is from a unit without altimeter. But Karoo DOES have an altimeter, right?
How do I get Garmin to accept altimeter data? Is there a setting in Karoo?

Same here. I ride with groups a lot, and consistently my elevation gain compared to various Garmins is significantly less. I always calibrate my elevation at the beginning of a ride too.

It could also be the other way round. Typically if you ask e.g. Strava to do the "elevation corrections" you get an unreasonably high elevation gain. My numbers are always very close to the other devices

That's true. If I do Strava Elevation Correction, the the result is usually too much elevation. I think the "true" value is somewhere in between.

I too have this problem.  For some regular courses, the elevation gain, compared to my compatriots using Strava or Garmin can measure as much as 12.5% lower. Accordingly on a day where my friends show 3,200 ft of ascent, Karoo will show 2,800.
