    @Jonas - It seems that the UI was sluggish on the touchscreen response. May I know if you have performed factory reset from the recovery menu?

    No, I have not done a factory reset on my unit, but after the ride was finished and saved, I started a new ride without restarting the Karoo and the sideswiping worked as it is supposed to do.
