Auto lap function

Would like to see the auto lap function on the Karoo ,every 5 miles give me my time pace or every 20 min give me my distance , is this something your thinking of adding

  We also need lap by location so when you are doing a multi-lap race, you get an auto lap every time you cross the finish line. So, auto lap options should be 1-by location 2-by distance 3-by time.

  Garmin does the above, wahoo bolt only can do options 2 and 3, not 1. Karoo should have all 3!

  On the Garmin Edge, they only added the auto lap by time option a couple of years ago and since then I've always used it to show me what distance I've done during each hour of my ride, which I find quite useful.

  I use the auto lap to tell me distance I’ve traveled every 20 min , just got used to this feature over the years.

  Hi everyone,

   

  The auto-lap feature is something already in our development pipeline. We love to explore that feature soon on the Karoo. At the same time, I am not committing ourselves to a dedicated timeline for its implementation.

  8 months on in development pipeline! Still nothing. Is the auto-lap so hard to implement?

  Hi all, Sorry that we are yet to implement the Auto-lap functionality on Karoo 1 and Karoo 2. We are looking forward and we expect to see this feature somewhere down the line.

  Unfortunate we are discussing such basic features that should be available from day 1 of any cycling computer.

  hopefully when implemented auto lap can be programmable per profile.  That would be a step up over some competitors, and useful.

  I agree - an autolap feature, with a user definable distance or time would be very useful.

  I also proposed a location dependent autolap feature - "geo-lap" - on a separate thread.

  Just received Karoo 2 (<1 week), after lots of reviewing this seemed the best choice out there, however I'm shocked to discover no auto lap (distance/location) functionality, I'm equally shocked to come to the help forums to see this has been discussed and claimed to be in the pipeline (from this thread) for over a year!
  How long for this feature to be rolled out, weeks/months/years? This is a deal breaker unfortunately.

  Agreed. There is another thread on Auto-lap as well. It, like this thread says it's planned. I would like to know when as I am nearing the end of my 45 day return period. In other news, a competitor has announced a new model...

  I am pretty sure the newly assigned LEGION ambassadors still use a Garmin for their Crit races due to this.
