    Hi All,

This is to keep you informed that you can now associate your sensors to individual profiles, so Karoo only searches for the right sensors, every ride. This is especially helpful if you have multiple bikes with lots of different sensors. This is optional, though, and if you don’t think you’ll benefit from this level of configuration, don’t worry – you can still continue using Karoo exactly as you always have.

    Thank you!

Hey Tariq. I appreciate you for showing your thoughts on this feature. Currently, we do not have this feature in Karoo 2. However, we will certainly take this to our Product team to see how they prioritize it.

Update to all: We are currently working on it right now and this should be released in the next 2-3 updates once it passes through our test cycle.

    Agree.

I use several bikes and a trainer.

Sensors load as they present, and I don't know  if the searching for sensors not used consumes battery, especially since  some sensors have not been cleared from the list after they were retired for the session. Keeping track of sensors , especially since they may rename themselves or get renamed when reloaded, IS A BIG DEAL.

This is a Big issue in that the trainer requires a lot of sensor retirement ESPECIALLY the onboard GPS, which overides speed and distance tracking from other sensors.

Also an issue as Sensor Precedence is a big deal , such that profile linked sensors and precedence would be a big help.

+1 to multiple bikes and a trainer. I don't know how it works, but presumably the sensor search never stops, even though it is paired with the active sensors? Surely this adds to battery drain?

Having sensors and profiles linked means when you load that profile, it would only search for those sensors connected to that profile.

If you ever need to add or switch sensors, you could obviously adjust that in the sensor page.

Right now I am disabling manually all the sensors that I won't be using for that ride, but is seems a band aid fix for something that could be a lot more streamlined by the Karoo.

I share Richard worries especially when it comes to battery drainage....

New to Hammerhead, so I know this is not implemented by Garmin.  Still... yes, please!  Four bikes in the garage, and I generally have to ride a block or two before turning Karoo 2 on to make sure it selects the Profile-appropriate shifting and wheel size from the get-go.

    Commenting for visibility, priority—

Selecting which sensors should be active per profile would be a huge improvement for 2 points: so that we don't have to manually disable/enable GPS for indoor/outdoor rides, and so the K2 isn't searching for sensors that aren't there throughout a ride on a different bike.

Currently when switching between indoor and outdoor rides, instead of 1 tap to choose a profile and start a ride, it takes 7 extra taps to go through the Apps screen > Sensors > GPS > Disable > Back > Back > Back before I'm at the Profile cards again to start a ride.

Agreed.  Multiple bikes - especially an issue when I let someone borrow a bike to ride with me!  Confusing.

Just adding more support for this feature request. This would be a great addition. I have ANT+ lights on my road bike, it would be great to only have them associated with my road bike profile so they don't also turn on when I go out for a mountain bike ride (right now they turn on when I start any ride from my garage).

    Thanks!

    @Paul : Updates of requests?

Surely you do not know with whom you are dealing.

    1) Profile linking.

    2) sensor precedence

    3)Sensor seaching

    4) trainer profile and onboard GPS having speed / distance

    5) Multiple profiles

Looking forward to this. I'm maxed out on sensors and need to spend time reconfiguring sensors when I switch bikes. It should be possible to pick a profile dedicated for a bike and have the right sensors come up with it.
