    Hi All,

We have now introduced Switch To Map: when following a route or navigating to a Pin, Karoo can now automatically switch to your map screen when approaching a maneuver. Turn this feature on from Turn-By-Turn Settings in your Profiles.

      • See the help article here for more information on how this feature works.

    Thank you!

The best solution would be to turn this future feature on and off in the setting menu because let’s face it, there may be a situation where you have to see the map all the time.

Excellent idea and something I would also love to see implemented.

I totally agree. We are waiting for this feature since ages. You have to realise, it is for our all safety!!! Zooming during rides on the next turn with buttons is so much more dangerous in race bike mode ... even more in upcoming wet winter conditions. In MTB mode downhill it is also not possible and I often miss the right turn, because unknown trail turns are much harder to notice. So hurry up with this very much anticipated feature.

I agree. It seems like HH have given up on the basics that people want. And now it's just about the fancy stuff that look good in marketing

I just rode 60km with my Garmin 1030, with map pop-up disabled. Only popup directions, then. Lots of turns, I wanted to see how well this would work. It didn’t. I must have gone wrong over a dozen times.
It is beyond me that HH cannot recognize the value of this.

    Hey Joel,

Thank you for posting your suggestion here!

We have received similar requests from our community previously as well, we have made a note of this implementation and discussed it further with our product team. We are working on improving the core stability of the Karoo software before we jump into greater implementations such as this. However, we prioritize each implementation based on the volume of user requests, Pros & Cons & the efforts needed by the software team. As we see an uptick in such similar requests we shall be sure to work towards rolling it out for our users :)

Thank you for taking the time out to post your suggestion here!

    Ride safe!

That’s great. This is one reason why I surely won’t return my Karoo within the 45 days. I love how you guys listen to feedback from the user community.
Other reason is I simply like my Karoo 2 a lot!😉

It seems Hammerhead is not  listening at all to its users. Just asked them about this feature. Got this answer:

“I completely understand that the ability to switch to the map screen automatically in the event of a turn could be a valuable enhancement for us to add. I have added your vote for these feature requests while forwarding it to the Product team.

This feature is not in the immediate plans as of now but if we receive more requests from the riders for the same feature, the product team will prioritise it. I am sorry that I do not have a concrete timeline to share with you right now.”

Very disappointing, to say the least.
