Hi Lee, if you do not have the auto-lap turned on, or do not manually mark a lap on your ride, it doesn't record on the FIT file. It is possible, I could be misunderstanding your request - so please let me know what exactly your ride experience has been.

I don't use the Lap function - the button is usless i dont care about Lapping in rides..

The bottom left button is useless to me - what are you going to do about it? as it is now, it's a wasted button that could be put to something i'd like..

It's also easy to accidentally press the button abs accidentally mark a lap in the recording. Either let us remap the button or give us a way to delete laps from the device.

If you're cycling on a bumpy road or trail and trying to use the bottom left-hand button to switch between the predefined zoom levels on the map page (https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/articles/360052360133-Karoo-2-Physical-Buttons- ), it's very easy to double-press it and trigger a lap, which is rather aggravating.

My simple suggestion (which I've made before) is to remove the lap functionality when on the map screen and dedicate that button to changing zoom level. I suspect that anyone who really wants to track lap times manually is staring at their wattage and not using the map page.
