Unable to pause activity

Yesterday went to a MTB ride and when trying to find a road on map navigation, i couldn’t pause my ride (i have the auto-pause function disable on every my profiles). The only way to stop the current ride was to finish de ride (which i did and then had to use gotoes.org to merge both rides). Have someone experiencied something similar? Sounds that using map navigation with fingers trying to find roads on map bugged my current ride. For the next time i will activate auto-pause function.
(Note: i stopped riding, not on move, just stopped and using map navigation but couldn’t manually pause the ride)

I've heard of this happening on a few rides, and we discovered that when you have a drawer open, you can't halt the ride or mark a lap.
To help me better comprehend the problem, could you please tell me if you tried pausing the ride using the hardware button or tapping the pause option on the screen?Can you tell me if you had any drawers open when you attempted to cease the ride?

I didn’t noticed any drawers opened, i was only navigating thru the map page on the profile but when i’ve tried to pause the ride on hardware button it didn’t done any action and not even the pause option appeared on screen! It was only possible to end the ride showing the message to end ride yes or not. I will e-mail both fit files from part 1 and then part 2 of the ride.
