    Completely agree, Ted.

I made a similar comment in my first impressions topic yesterday where I observed that the battery charge indicator (lightning bolt) continues to overlay the battery icon even after the charging cable has been disconnected and until the battery charge % drops below 100. If the logic cannot be made to work properly then this would be best removed altogether (although it's very useful to know when your battery is actually charging).

I am also on 1.181.967.12 and I think the percentage should just appear in the pull down/notifications menu, which I think is the correct behaviour. I also have it as a data field on one of my profile screens anyway. I don't particularly want to see it in the header bar of the in-ride screen, especially since it's using a different font size to the time (and ride time). It's unnecessary clutter up there.

Hey Ted and Steve. Sorry to inform you that we do not have the option to customer the % icon for the battery charge on the header bar of the Karoo 2 unit. However, we have tried to ensure that we show the battery charge indicator in color indication as well as %.

The reason for the color indication of the battery level is that while you are on the ride, it would require less attention to read the charge on your battery. Seeing the color indication you would be able to determine if your Karoo 2 needs plugging into the charger.

@steve: For the battery charge indicator at 100% charging, yes I could see that on my unit as well. Let me take this to our Product team for them to look into this.

    Hi Abhishek,

Thanks for getting back to us on this. The request was simply to hide the battery percentage in the header bar on the in-ride screen. You don't show the percentage on the home screen but you do provide it as a data field in-ride where it is much easier to read. I don't particularly have a need to see the percentage in the header bar AND as a data field in-ride and I would prefer to see it removed from the header bar if at all possible.

Not a biggie by any means.

Hopefully the charging indicator icon displaying at 100% charge is a simple enough bug to fix.

    Hi Abhishek

Not sure you're understanding the issue.  The color change on the batt level icon is nice, and does exactly what you intend.  having the numeric %age in addition to the battery level icon is clutter, and is distracting, especially since it is a different font size than anything else on the screen (wether in the status bar or outside it).  It doesn't match the minimalistic them.  In previous releases this was not there.  Please see any screenshots still displayed on the hammerhead website.  None of them have this added clutter shown in the status bar (pic attached followed by screen capture displayed on hammerhead homepage).

Current display from hammerhead homepage (nice and neat battery icon ONLY):

This is what I'm seeing in regards to the %charge icon.  Not very helpful in my opinion.  Not sure this is what you are referring to but similar issue.

Hi everyone who has been involved in this discussion. This was introduced because it was requested from customers. It is still too early to make it customizable when we have other priorities to fix, but we will be looking for a change and make more refinements around it. Thanks for striking this conversation.
