@Billi, Yes, this sounds to be an interesting feature but this is not in our immediate plans due to competing priorities. That being said, we have added your vote for this feature request while forwarding this to the Product team.

    Hello Hari,

thank you, that's all I can ask for. I hope the Product team shares your opinion and recognizes the potential of this technology.

    Best regards

    Dirk

P.S.: Looking forward to receive my Karoo2 tomorrow or Saturday...

Just enquiring if this request has progressed. Suunto has recently also supported ActiveLook too. I am considering purchasing the Engo 2 glasses and these paired with the Karoo 2 would be the perfect compliment. Seeing what Hammerhead could go with this open API system would be interesting.

    Many thanks.

Just received my ENGO 2 glasses and ActiveLook has to be a dev item for Hammerhead's Karoo 2 in 2023! Simple but incredible tech. Works great with my Suunto watch but having to wear that as well as use the Karoo2 is not ideal. Would love to have native, configurable support for ActiveLook on my Karoo 2.

Hi Gerhard, I got my glasses (Jublo EVAD-1 with ActiveLook inside) today and tried to pair them with the Suunto 9 Peak but it doas not work. The connection will establish but there is no sync between the glasses and the APP, not even the battery status is displayed in the Suunto app. Have done something special ?

By the way a possibilty to connect the Karoo 2 directly to the glasses would be great.

    thank's

Please add this feature. If Apple is adding it then put it in the development queue

Gerald, have you tried to sideload the Android app for the Engo?  Someone suggest it on a fb page and would be interested to see if it would work.

Sideloading the ActiveLook app on the Karoo2 does not work. Please Hammerhead, consider AR a part of your development strategy.

I emailed Engo: they said they have no development plans beyond Garmin and Suunto, which is a shame.

Gerard: thanks for trying sideloading, I was curious about that.

Interesting since anyone can develop for ActiveLook. Karoo2 just added Core support so maybe there is hope for this one too.

All it needs is one HH engineer to get a pair…

Thanks for the feedback! ActiveLook is not currently on the roadmap, but I have shared this thread with the team!

I asked both Engo and HH support about this at least 6 months ago. I have purchased the Engo eyewear and next will be a new computer. Sorry HH, the Karoo 2 isn't so advanced that I'll keep it over the Engo glasses. It is the logical next step in performance.

If you enabled apps to "enable" Bluetooth, I have a suspicion that the sideloaded Acitvelook Android app would work. That seems to be the bit that doesn't behave properly during setup. Right now, apps can only be granted permission on Storage, Phone, and Location.
