Thanks, Mark. Yes, I agree that this can be crucial for users switching over from competitors devices. I will add this on our list of Data-fields. There are a few key ones that we will be rolling out soon such as lap averages, consider this to be actioned in time as well.

Mark, is this something that is customized or is available on 830. I do not see it here: https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/edge830/EN-US/GUID-53FC7978-187F-4E53-AA33-04853F86B05F.html

We do have a visual data field Time in HR zone.. may I know how that is not useful compared to what you are requesting?

Hi, I personally don't necessarily need to see my time in other zones all the time, and when screen real estate is a consideration, a small data field indicating my time in zone 2 is useful.

As for the field, on the link you have provided for data fields available on the Garmin Edge 830, scroll down to "Time in zone"! :)

Could you integrate this in a visual way as well ? A graph showing you how much time you have spent in these HR zones ?

I really like the HR visual with the circles to show which zones you're riding in currently, so maybe a variant on this to show distribution ?

I was just looking for these fields on my Hammerhead. If you follow coach Tim Cusick (creator of WKO software) he said that Time in Zone is one of the most important metrics in doing intervals (rather than the interval design itself).

BTW I would add it should be available for showing all zones (not just zone 2) and it should be available for both Power-zones and HR-zones.

+1 on this request. In order to know the intensity of my ride (and not necessarily when doing structured workouts) I need to know how long I've been on certain HR Zones. In my case, I always monitor Z3 and Z4 in my Garmin and need this data field to make the K2 really useful.

Also, to reply to Ali's concern: the current visual data field reflects the time in each zone as a percentage of the ride. But that doesn't say much about your effort: for instance, 30 minutes in Z4 is 25% of a 2h ride but 50% of a 1h ride, but the same effort in both cases.

Plus 1 to this request. Percentage is not very useful.  Being able to see time in all zones is

Plus 1. Time in minutes/sec (not %) in all zones (watts).
