Puzzled about offline navigation

Hello. New to the Karoo 2.

If you're riding without a route, the FAQ says I can press on any point on the map within 100 miles of my position and navigate to it. This seems to indeed work. However, I'm puzzled about two things:

1. Why won't it let you search the point (street/address) as well instead of just finding the point on the map?

2. As the Karoo 2 is obviously able to do some level of offline navigation (at least within 100 miles), why won't it let me create a route when offline? It seems like all the prerequisites are met (offline map data).

  bluppfisk  - Sorry for no getting back to you on this. Let me clear this out. Both these features to search while in the ride is not possible right now, and under plans for later this year.
