Is there a way to add intermediate control points on K2 in-device route editor?
AnsweredHi. I love the dashboard route creation tool and find the magic sauce invariably finds the best route for me, avoiding busy roads, being efficient, and accurate. I also find the ability to click on a route to make an intermediate additional waypoint helpful by adding the little white control points, and the ability to drag these to finesse the route to pick in a special place, alternate road etc.
On the K2 these control points all seem to be present when editing a route created on dashboard, and when clicked on they can be moved around. I cannot find a way of adding new waypoints on the K2 however, all that seems to happen is the route gets extended with a massive loop to the insertion point, which wasn't as intended. When editing a route on my iphone for instance its is "smart" and recognises if I am making an insertion on top of an existing route, and it adds an intermediate waypoint, or if i drop a pin in the middle of no-where it extends to there. This is a better behaviour.
This feature would be really helpful for in ride support so that a route can be extended, diverted etc from the K2 route editor. At the moment all I can do is hope that there is a control point nearby one I grab and alter from the original Dashboard creation
Bug: Deleted control/waypoints on the K2 editor hand around as a "ghost" while editing which is confusing. They disappear when you save out of the route.
