Cycling Dynamics
Not plannedHi! I'm in the hunt for a new cycling computer and found Hammerhead and Karoo 2. My only question before pulling the trigger is if you support cycling dynamics by Favero Assioma? The dynamics are "Power Phase" and "Rider Position". More on the dynamics here: https://cycling.favero.com/blog/tech-tests/iav-cycling-dynamics
Is it supported?
Best Regards
Benjamin

Hi Benjamin, Sorry to say but Karoo 1 or Karoo 2 does not support Cycling dynamics as it is an implementation exclusively for compatible Garmin Fitness devices. That being said, we are interested to explore something that can display these parameters and we expect this to be materialized somewhere down the line. We are sorry that we do not have a timeline to share with you right now.
However, if you are looking for parameters such as Pedal Power Balance, Pedal Smoothness, Torque Effectiveness then we certainly have these on the Karoo 1 and Karoo 2.
To see the complete list of Data fields available on the Karoo, please see:

Hi,
Any news about IAV Cycling Dynamics support? Another year has passed since last request.
Do we have any chance that K2 get full support for IAV?
Favero says:
These metrics are the standardized and "open" version of the homonyms "Cycling Dynamics" by Garmin.
Does "open" mean that it is open protocol to support in any head unit?

Why doesn't Karoo show cycling dynamics data? Is SRAM also angry with Garmin? If so, she is no longer just angry at SHIMANO, but at the world.
Other devices, lower priced than Hammerhead, display this data and are compatible with many more devices than Hammerhead, such as Bryton.
This doesn't make any sense.

The fact HH told us CD wasn't a priority or on the roadmap four years ago I guess that answer still applies. If four years of frequent user requests isn't enough it won't be happening any time soon.
And their excuse of it being exclusive to Garmin is laughable considering Garmin opened up access to 3rd party integration back in 2017.
