Unfortunately it isn't....I had this during my first ride with the K2 yesterday. The even bigger problem was that resumed the ride but all of my sensors had disconnected, which the K2 did not alert me about.

    Hopefully in the works.

I have asked for this as well (different thread about standby mode) - in my mind it's the biggest showstopper at the moment. I think there are many of us that go for adventure rides and bikepacking, where the actual ride time fits into the capacity of the unit, but the elapsed time does not due to stops. Very encouraged to see that there is a green "Planned" indicator on this post.

Would this "resume ride" feature also work as "recover ride" feature in the event that the unit crashes?

When my garmin crashes mid ride, it would automatically restart and resume the ride. Sometimes several times in a single ride!

A pause / low power sleep mode would be great for the longer mid-ride breaks.

I also second the resume ride "flag" if the K2 crashes and then on reboot sees a ride is "still in progress" it continues to record.

So this convo is tagged as 'planned' so can I take that as HH is planning on implementing this in the future? I hope so, I'd love this feature.

I would be using this for my commutes. Instead of having 2 rides per day,  it would be a much cleaner look to my Strava and Rides profile to have these two rides merged as one... also, not clogging up everyone's Strava feeds.

Adding to this one -- recently lent (lended?) my Karoo2 to a friend, who was not so clear on how to use it.  Did the ride, and I think must have shut it off at some point after the TBT completed (reached end of planned route.). Where exactly it was turned off between stopping the ride, and saving ride screens I don't know.  When next powered up, a 0 mile ride shows at the top of the rides list, and it looks like the right GPS track is there, but mileage and other ride data is gone.

Request that rides in progress (or rides ended by user but not yet "saved") be persisted such that the user can decide to save or delete the ride upon next power on.  Screen shot attached.
