Mount insert showing signs of cracking already

Hi,

My mount insert is already showing signs of cracking around the bolt holes. I'm not surprised; I pointed out how brittle it seemed in my First Impressions post.

Are new mount inserts readily available from Hammerhead or will I have to get one 3D printed through Shapeways?

  Hi Steve, sorry to hear that and we know there have been failures reported from others too. We will be able to ship the newly re-designed mounts for free as soon as they are ready. Expecting it before the end of this month. Please share the pictures of the damage in a ticket to support@hammerhead.io with us so we can proactively reach out to you.

  Can we get the updated mount proactively when they are available?  Or do we need to wait for the old one to fail?

  Hi Ali,

  What is the plan with the replacement mounts / 1/4 mount inserts? Like other's, I'm experiencing the wobble, and don't want to damage the unit due to a mount failure.

  Same here its way to loose, have to use it as my Bontrager Blendre stem wont let me fit standard mount and quarter turn ridiculously lose.

  On my Canyon Aeroad mount, the Garmin adapter is also very lose. Cannot use the device button, because it rotates the device...

  Hi, I am having the same problem with my mount. My mount developed cracks from normal use. Is there a way to get a replacement?
