BUG? Weird grey mess overlaid on map

I'm not sure if this is a bug or what but I'm seeing a weird, thick, uneven, grey "mess" overlaid on my map whenever I start a new ride:

It appears to be showing me the route I just walked at lunchtime today. WHY?

If I shutdown the Karoo 2 and turn it back on again, the line disappears. But I'm not sure why it was even there in the first place. What was it supposed to be showing me and why does it look so uneven and ugly?

  Hi Steve, yes - it seems to be a bug and we are investigating it for a fix.

  Hi Steve, this has been fixed now with today's software release.

  We’ve fixed an issue that allowed the trace of a previous ride to still be shown on the map during a new ride. And we’ve reduced the likelihood of irregular “spikes” appearing on the map view your route.

  I noticed this in the Release Notes, Ali. Thank you for letting me know.

  I am impressed with this latest update, so far. Seems very stable and, somehow, far more responsive on my K2. Nice work!
