Losing Signal Suggestions
AnsweredI do a lot of riding in lower Manhattan. The tall buildings knock down GPS signals -- no surprise. There are a few things that I think would make the loss of signal less disruptive.
1. Instead of saying that one if back on route, why not say the signal has been regained? Saying that one is back on the route gives the impression that one was off it. When you are blinded by not having GPS, being off course is a real possibility. Of course, if one is really off the route, that is useful to know.
2. If the signal is lost, it would be wonderful if the unit would turn into a cue sheet. Give the next turn, the distance to it, etc. Pressing a button would roll to the next turn. When the signal comes back, return to normal.
