Live Tracking w/o Cell Coverage

How do I share K2’s Live Tracking with someone else like a family member for safety reasons. Also, I noticed that Live Tracking, like Strava’s Beacon which I now use, is based on cell coverage. That makes my family nervous when they lose track of me in the mountains where there’s no cell coverage. Is it possible for K2’s Live Tracking to be GPS satellite based?

  @John: A unique link will be generated and sent to your email address linked to your Hammerhead account once you enable Live tracking on your Karoo 2. You have to share this link with the concerned people for them to track you. You can either forward that email or use any of the other methods that you think are comfortable with.

  For example: Take note of the Live tracking link and share it over WhatsApp.

  Right now, it is required to have an active internet connection on your Karoo 2 to update your location instantly. There are a lot of things that can be explored when it comes to living tracking and the Product team is looking forward to scope out more ideas.
