Sensor Combability
CompletedHi!
We're seeing a lot of new type of sensors such as Core Body Temperature sensors that half of the world tour is using now but also Supersapiens glucose sensors. These are by today integrated in the Garmin system so that they can be seen/read while riding.
Does these sensors work with the Karoo 2?

Hi,
Just wanted to echo support for supersapiens. I don't actually use it, I use the libre 2 Glucose sensor as I'm a type 1 diabetic, but as far as I can tell supersapiens is the same thing rebranded. I really like my partners k2, and I'm looking to replace my dying edge 800, but I'm def gonna be swayed by something that can read my Glucose. If there is any plans to integrate with supersapiens in the next few months please let us know before I buy something different...
Thanks

To be honest as I have only been using the Supersapiens sensor for a season but looked into the Core temperature sensor. If you know how to use it, it's just as powerful as tool as the power meter. Few understood the power meter in the 90s but today it's easy to see how it's beneficial during training and racing, these two sensors has the advantages - optimizing of training and racing with help of data. The difference from e.g. a sleep sensor is that these sensors give you actionable insights instead of reactive insights (you can see on forehand that you are going to have a bad nights' sleep) by hinting what's going at the moment in your body.
In essence, for me, not supporting next generation of insights and data is like not supporting a power meter. Karoo needs to push this. I've asked both Supersapiens and Core but they both say that they are waiting for Hammerhead. Garmin and Wahoo have done this for the whole season.
Lastly, I'm a super happy Karoo 2 customer so I'm only pushing this to really make Karoo the best and most complete head unit outhere.

Hi all--long time garmin user here, thinking of jumping ship, given the amazing product (and the current trade-in program). But I do use Moxy, Core and Supersapiens pretty much whenever I train. This thread is 8months old, and afaik none of these apps have been added to what karoo 2 supports since then. What are the chances that they will be in the near future, do you reckon? I would hate to buy a unit, and to never be able to use it in training...

I've been in contact with Core a couple of times the last month and they are saying that they are waiting for Hammerhead. One hinted to get back soon for more info, hoped that yesterday's update would contain it but we got wallpapers instead :)
No offence, they look nice, but it's not as useful... :)

Thats a big shame for the priorisation for the e-bile integration.
As stated above most e-bike have their own headunit. Who really needs that.
We lost Di2 compatibility and now also such things. Soon I really have to think to switch back. Don‘t get these strange priorisations for Software features.
Really hoped for the core temp, since it was written somewhere you were in contact with core themselfs.
