feature request: map type

Hi guys,
is it possible to implement a feature when creating a route on karoo 2, to change the map type (mountain biking,gravel,riding, road cycling) as it is on the dashboard?
My karoo suggests roads instead of cycle paths which is useless for me.

  Thanks for your suggestions about surface types when creating routes on the K2, and OSM data on maps!

  Routing is one area where we are putting in some effort to make it even better - both in customizable settings and in routing along the most cycle-friendly routes. Look for enhancements in these areas in future updates, both on-device and in the Dashboard! I do not have specific dates to share at this point, but know that those are improvements we are working on!

  We update our maps regularly based on previous updates to OSM. We are always looking to strike the right balance to keep maps both information-rich and quick to load with smooth operation. We want to give the best most informed map views, but we also want the device to run at top performance! We will continue to work to bring as much data to the maps as possible without degrading other parts of the overall experience!

  Exactly what I was asking for in my list of feature requests, but I think it was not well understood.
  Depending on your selected (bike) profile, the K2 should route you through your preferred road type.

  I would also like to add the request of having the complete OSM maps, richer in data for mountainbiking.

  Agreed. I also find myself on roads, rather than on cycle paths- defeats the purpose of using a dedicated cycling computer. Google Maps would probably do a better job of finding the type of route you are getting at as it stands today (where I am);

  I almost surrendered on this topic.

  If its true what Jami is stating, then there is some hope in sight.

  From my experience, I cant believe it will happen in some near future (this spring or to be gentle this summer)

  Hi Guys - just to strongly agree with these comments. I try to avoid roads wherever possible (I'm lucky to live in a place where there are many forest roads and walking/biking paths) and would like map options to reflect this on my K2 unit and dashboard.

  Also, if I try to create return routes or tracks based on places where I've been, the K2 refuses to believe me and puts me on roads instead!

  How do set a default to avoid golf cart/bike paths?  I'm a road cyclist.  I live in a city with many golf cart paths but ride on the roads.  The Karoo keeps wanting me to do U-turns to get onto golf cart paths.
