Outstanding issues
AnsweredOne that continues to exist, that has been brought up many times is the audible cues. There is a single high pitched tone for all alerts. A car coming up behind be as detected by Varia should give me an audible cue that is different from a TbT navigation cue. The audible cues should also be user adjustable so that we can make them work for us. Age has not been kind on my ears, and many times I am unable to hear the cue when there is other noise in the area. I would want a lower pitched sound louder in volume for my setup.
I also want to see dashboard become useful. At this point in time the only thing I use it for is to import my routes from other, better created tools for route creation. Let me interact with the Karoo from the dashboard. Setting up the data fields on a larger screen, where I can have multiple windows to ensure I have the setup made that works best for me. I'd also like to have all of the content from my Karoo kept somewhere, other than on a small device that can break or lost.
Lastly, (for items I'm listing, there have been a number of posts talking about other existing issues numerous times with no real change) why does the Grade value only display whole numbers?

Hi Dennis!
Thanks for the suggestions and comments. We really do appreciate it, and much of our planning for future projects is sourced from suggestions like yours!
Regarding the tones, we have had feedback about them, both good and bad. I actually really like the beep - I have severe tinnitus (ringing in my ears). It makes it very hard to hear certain tones, and it is not always about the volume. The Karoo 2 is the first cycling head unit I've owned that I can actually hear. For that very reason, though, I know that being able to vary that tone might be great for some people - a different pitch and I might not hear it. That's a solid suggestion! One thing you may find useful is the Karoo 2’s ability to pair with Bluetooth headphones or a speaker. A small speaker gives you the ability to make it louder, and even adds voice guidance when riding a route.
The Dashboard is rather simple at this point. While many people already have other tools they use and love for data analysis, we've gotten feedback that it needs more tools and capabilities built-in. We listened - we have plans to add new tools and ways to analyze your data and hope to introduce those in the future.
I like the idea of being able to customize data fields from Dashboard and change settings. It's definitely one I will share! One thing to note is that if you are syncing your device regularly with your HH account (Dashboard), then you are also backing up all of your device settings, rides, routes, etc. If you lost your device and had to get a replacement, after you connect it to the internet and log in to your HH account, it would download all of your information and settings automatically. You would just have to pair sensors again.
The biggest point with grade is the level of precision. Some companies have gone back and forth on whole numbers vs tenths of a percent for that very reason. there is a margin of error in calculating that value from barometer data - many variables exist with barometric pressure. If you check out forum posts from other sites surrounding the topic, many people have shown side-by-side comparisons with multiple devices from the same brand showing different values even rounded to whole numbers. If sensor accuracy was to that level, it would be worthwhile to update the data field to reflect that.
Again - thanks for the feedback and suggestions. We really do take it seriously!
