Is an offline map already downloaded on my Karoo 2 automatically updated if a new version becomes available?

  Yes, kind of.

  In my experience, you will receive a notification - in much the same way you do when there is a software update - and you will be prompted to download and update the maps you have already downloaded.

  As Steve said, you will receive a notification when there is an update to a map. We do not start the download automatically because the map files can be a few gigabytes - depending on where you are, that may be too large or take more time than you have. Thanks!
