Re-routing during manual ride pause, draining battery
AnsweredOn rides using navigation, I've noticed the K2 will continuously re-route during a normal ride activity such as making a cafe/lunch stop. This occurs even when the rider has manually paused the ride, turned off the screen, and the bike is stationary. Would be great if the rider had the option to pause the ride to stop this continues re-routing. The device is turning on the screen, running the map, and beeping like crazy - killing the battery!

Hello Ian and Steve!
I agree - the ability to prevent rerouting would be advantageous under certain circumstances, like the one mentioned here. I am going to log that as a feature suggestion. We get many of our best ideas from the community - keep 'em coming!
You can "remove the route" to end navigation on prolonged stops and then "add a route" back once you rejoin the route. It is an extra step, but it achieves the goal until a feature is implemented to do it. Hope that helps!

I boost this post! If a rider manually pauses the ride and turns off the screen, it only seems logical that the device should stay idle until unsuspended by the user. It is helpful to keep when the H2 reminds us that we forgot to start recording after a break, but if the bike is parked at a cafe and keeps chirping reroute orders I'd suggest that's a bug.
p.s. I saw a post 2 years ago about the ability to continue a ride/recording after a device shutdown. It was 'put on a feature list', so hope this gets more attention for us touring riders.
Thanks.
