Latest firmware (1.205.1030) update question

I'm really liking what I've read about the new build pushed out. Some welcome improvements and bug fixes.

One thing I'm unsure what it means is the adjusted map layouts - 

"We’ve adjusted the map for map-on-top layouts, so now you can see more of the route ahead."

I haven't been out on the bike yet but does this just mean the rider position is different on the map? 

And does this not also apply when you have the map at the bottom in the layout?
