Route Elevation = up + down? Or what?
PlannedCan someone explain how the route elevation is calculated? It seems almost like it is adding ascent + descent up on most routes, but it's only over by 20% or so on others (comparing to Komoot in this case). Post ride, there are certainly some discrepancies between Garmin, Komoot and Strava, but not by much. I've seen some older posts about this, but no response.
The number of meters/feet to be climbed is a pretty significant number for us cyclists, no? If I have to choose a single metric regarding altitude, it would be altitude climbed. A combination between climbed and descended is utterly useless.

This is quite true @Stephen - I've owned a k2 for 2yr this Nov I think and theirs probs that HAVEN'T been rectified and its been out for at least 3yrs..it's about time Hammerhead sort this - the fact its a development piece of software doesn't cut it now - it's beyond rediculous like height for god's sake, it's a GPS unit, my phone isn't a cycling related product but it can give me a better figure than Hammerhead can or be that can't produce a unit to. Even my phone I CAN TYPE IN A PLACE and NAVIGATE TO IT...for god's sake, pull ya finger out Hammerhead it's beyond pathetic
